Villeneuve is unhappy with BAR negotiations
JACQUES VILLENEUVE is unhappy with the way his employers British American Racing are attempting to negotiate his contract and keep him at the team.
Villeneuve, who joined the team two years ago and is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, has voiced his annoyance at how new contract negotiations have started.
So far, Villeneuve has completed negotiations with the team's major shareholders British American Tobacco. But he insists he would rather deal with his friend a team-boss Craig Pollock.
"BAR act like they are McLaren or Ferrari! This annoys me a lot," said Villeneuve. "I do not like their way of negotiating with me. I would rather negotiate with Craig if I feel like it, and that's it."
