Verstappen injures neck in testing crash

Jos Verstappen has injured his neck in a testing accident at Magny Cours on Wednesday.

The Dutchman was testing the A21 car fresh from his fifth place in the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, but was involved in what the team described as "a large accident at turn two."

He walked away from the crash but has returned home complaining of a stiff neck, while the car, which is believed to have developed a mechanical problem, is being returned to the team's workshops to find the exact cause of the accident.

Verstappen's Spanish team-mate Pedro de la Rosa is being called-in to replace him and the team will send another car to the French circuit subject to the crash findings.
