Schumacher - it's not over yet

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER reckons that he has only a 30% chance of winning the World Championship this year - but he is not about to give up. Michael is currently nine points behind Jacques Villeneuve with a maximum of 20 points available if he wins both the Japanese and European Grands Prix.

Villeneuve does not have to worry about winning races as all he now has to do is to score one point more than Schumacher in one of the two events.

"As long as there is still a mathematical chance that I can win the World Championship," Schumacher said, "then I will fight on. Jacques took 19 points off me in two races, I can do the same to him in the last two Grands Prix."

"If Jacques crashes out in Suzuka and I win then I'll be back in the lead in the World Championship. Anything can happen in a Grand Prix."
