Unhappy fella Fisichella

JORDAN drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Ralf Schumacher have agreed to disagree after their collision in the recent Argentine Grand Prix. "Our friendship is completely finished," Fisichella told the F1 press corps at Imola. "I will always act correctly with my team-mate. We can still work together when we are at the circuit, but when we are away from it there will be nothing."

In an effort to keep his two young drivers from running into one another again Eddie Jordan - who needs good results in the next few weeks if he is to have any hope of keeping his supply of Peugeot engines in 1998 - has established a system of team orders to cover similar situations in the future. At the time of the crash Schumacher was behind Fisichella but lapping much faster and in an effort to avoid delays tried an over-ambitious move which resulted in his team mate being punted out of the race.
