Bernie is attacked (again)
LATE last Thursday evening Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and his wife Slavica were attacked by two muggers outside their house in London's exclusive Chelsea Square. There was a scuffle as the robbers tried to grab Mrs. Ecclestone's diamond ring - rumored to be worth more than $750,000 - and Bernie was beaten up and left lying on the doorstep. He was taken to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where it was found that he had suffered a fractured cheekbone. In addition to the ring, the muggers stole an expensive Rolex watch.
It has not been Bernie's year - in February he was attacked by a dog in Las Vegas and needed surgery to injuries to his nose.
