Arrows to get lots of Hype?

JACKIE OLIVER'S Arrows team is hoping to land a major sponsorship deal next year with Hype, a high-energy drink being sold by American soft drinks company Global Brands - which is owned and run by English businessman Nigel Spiro.

Spiro says that initial response has been good and he is now considering funding the entire operation next year - with around $12 million to be invested.

Arrows is sufficiently confident that it has already taken up the option for a supply of Hart V8 engines and although there have been lots of rumors of Alan Jenkins leaving the team to join Ferrari or McLaren, the reality seems to be that Jenkins will stay.

On the driver front the team hopes to be able to run Gianni Morbidelli again while both Jos Verstappen and F3000 champion-elect Vincenzo Sospiri are tipped as possible 1996 racers.
