South American-born, this Dublin motor trader ran an Alta in the 1950 and 51 British Grands Prix at Silverstone. He later retired from racing after suffering serious leg injuries in a 1955 accident at Oulton Park. Kelly created quite a storm when he acquired a Ferrari, raced it once at The Curragh and then sold it to Jaguar, giving the British engineers the chaance to have a good look at the opposition!
