Sante Ghedini

Ghedini joined the Ferrari company in 1968 and stayed with the team for 10 years, working in a variety of managerial and public relations roles. During that period he became close to Ferrari lead driver Niki Lauda, who won the World Championship for the team in 1975 and 1977 and came back from his serious burns at the Nurburgring in 1976. When Lauda decided to quit Ferrari to move to Brabham, Ghedini went with him, becoming the head of public relations at Parmalat. Although Lauda quit the sport in 1979 Ghedini remained with Brabham until 1982. He disappeared from the racing scene for most of the 1980s but was asked by Luca di Montezemolo to be Ferrari team manager in 1991. At the end of 1993 he was moved to become the boss of the Mugello testing facility and not long afterwards disappeared from racing again.
