Mike Fisher

American amateur racer who had previously driven a Lotus 18 and Porsche sports cars before turning up for the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix with the now BRM-engined ex-Team Lotus Lotus 33 in which Jim Clark had dominated the 1965 World Championship. He also did that year's Mexican Grand Prix before his pilot training program for the Vietnam war prevented any further racing. He was later assigned to work for the Pentagon and was briefly CART's executive vice-president of racing for three months during 1997.
