Michael MacDowel

MacDowel drove for the Cooper factory sports car team in 1955 and raced a works Cooper-Climax T43 in the 1957 French Grand Prix at Rouen where Jack Brabham took over the car to finish seventh. He later won the 1973 and 74 RAC Hillclimb Championships in his Repco V8-engined Brabham BT36X and today is active as a director of the British Racing Drivers' Club, the owners of Silverstone.
