This French sports car driver from Nice was very badly injured when he crashed Rob Walker's Formula 2 Cooper-Climax on oil spilled by Tony Brooks's expiring Vanwall. He collided with Olivier Gendebien's pirouetting Ferrari Dino 246 and was very badly injured. He recovered, but never raced again.
