Andrea Montermini

Talented Italian who finished second in the 1992 International Formula 3000 Championship and then briefly flirted with the US CART scene before trying his hand at Formula 1 with a Simtek in 1994, crashing heavily during practice for the Spanish Grand Prix. Two fruitless seasons with the Pacific and Forti teams followed since when his career has been a rather intermittent affair based round sports cars.
