Practice 2 Report - Zonta goes top for Toyota

Ricardo Zonta set the fastest time of the second session in Istanbul on Friday afternoon, recording a time which was six-tenths faster than that set by McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa. McLaren's challenge was backed up by strong showings from Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen who were third and fourth quickest in the session ahead of Jenson Button's BAR-Honda and an impressive Tonio Liuzzi in his Red Bull, who was sixth fastest, ahead of Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli, Takuma Sato and Mark Webber.

Michael Schumacher was only 13th fastest, just ahead of Jacques Villeneuve with Rubens Barrichello 15th.

Minardi looked better than in the morning session with Robert Doornbos all but matching the best time set by Tiago Monteiro's Jordan, with Christijan Albers just a tenth behind and both men clear of the two other Jordan drivers Nicolas Kiesa and Narain Karthikeyan.
