Race Notes - Hamilton takes another 1-2

Lewis Hamilton started from second place and took the lead into the first corner to lead the rest of the race to win the Spanish Grand Prix in his Mercedes.

Valtteri Bottas finished in second place, 4.074 seconds behind Hamilton to take the fifth consecutive 1-2 finish for Mercedes this season.

Max Verstappen in his Red Bull-Honda was took the final podium position, 7.679 seconds behind the winner.

Hamilton takes back the lead in the Driver's championship with 112 points, and now leads Bottas by 7 points. It's Hamilton's third win of the 2019 season, and the 76th win of his career. He also captured fastest lap of the race at 1:18.492, giving him an extra point towards the Championship.

Sebastian Vettel (9.167s) in the Ferrari was fourth, followed by his teammate Charles Leclerc (13.361s) in fifth, Pierre Gasly (19.576s) in the Red Bull-Honda was sixth, Kevin Magnussen (28.159s) in the Haas-Ferrari was seventh, Carlos Sainz (32.342s) in the McLaren was eighth, Daniil Kvyat (33.056s) in the Torro Rosso-Honda was ninth, and Roman Grosjean (34.641s) in the Haas-Ferrari took the final point position in tenth place.
