Sebastian Vettel (1:15.103) topped the final session of free practice for the German Grand Prix on a damp track that dried throughout the hour long session, with all the quickest times set at the end.

Fernando Alonso's Ferrari (1:15.387) was the closest challenger, splitting the Red Bull twins, with Mark Webber lapping in 1:15.708. Felipe Massa completed the symmetry at the front with a lap in 1:15.854 aboard the second Ferrari F10.

Nico Rosberg (1:16.046) was fifth quickest with the first of the Mercedes, still with a 0.43s margin over Michael Schumacher (1:16.473), the pair of them split by Lewis Hamilton's McLaren (1:16.207).

With Jenson Button (1:17.037) down in 13th place with the second McLaren MP4-25, it was left to Rubens Barrichello's Williams (1:16.481), Robert Kubica's Renault (1:16.646) and Nico Hulkenberg's Williams (1:16.743) to complete the top 10.

The big question is whether the 2pm European time qualifying session will be afflicted by rain. Light rain is a strong possibility with local weather sites putting the chance of precipitation at 60%.
