Practice 1 Report - Webber fastest
Mark Webber set the fastest time of the Friday morning session at the Nurburgring with a lap that was three-tenths quicker than Jenson Button's Brawn-Mercedes. Felipe Massa was third fastest in his Ferrari, three-tenths behind Button. Webber's Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel lost half of the session with a mechanical problem.
Jarno Trulli was fourth fastest in the Toyota, but the value of the times was called into question by the presence of Giancarlo Fisichella in fifth place in his Force India, ahead of the second Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Rosberg's Williams and Vettel. The top 10 was completed by Kazuki Nakajima in the second Williams and Fernando Alonso's Renault.
Rubens Barreichello was 12th, behind Nick Heidfeld, but ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Robert Kubica and Nelspon Piquet.
Adrian Sutil was also in trouble with mechanical troubles for his Force India.
