Kimi Raikkonen ended the second session for the European GP at Valencia fastest for Ferrari. The times, however, remain rather suspect as Fernando Alonso was second for Renault and Jenson Button was third in his Honda, a rather unlikely result.

Behind Button things were much more recognisable with Felipe Massa fourth ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen. Seventh fastest was Timo Glock in his Toyota, followed by Robert Kubica's BMW, Nelson Piquet's Renault and Giancarlo Fisichella's Force India.

Mark Webber was 11th in his Red Bull, ahead of Nico Rosberg's Williams, David Coulthard's Red Bull, the Williams of Kazuki Nakajima and Jarno Trulli's Toyota.

The Toro Rossos, which were very quick in the morning session, were nowhere in the afternoon with Sebastian Vettel 16th and Sebastien Bourdais 19th. Between the two were the Force India of Adrian Sutil and Nick Heidfeld's BMW.

At the back was Rubens Barrichello's Honda. Given that Button was third quickest this was a little strange.
