Ola Kaellenius

Born in Sweden on June 11 1969, Ola Kallenius joined prestigious International Management Associate Program (IMAP) at Daimler-Benz AG in 1993. His first major posting was two years later as head of the control department for M-Class Sport Utility Vehicle production at the new Mercedes-Benz US International Inc facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He stayed in the United States until 2000 when he was moved on to a series of procurement roles before being appointed as the executive director of operations for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren programme in Woking in 2003. He was then moved on to become managing-director of Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines (the unit previously known as Ilmor) in December 2004 and has been running the firm ever since. MBHPE became a 100%-owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler in September 2005.
