BRDC rejects Silverstone offer

The BRDC, Bernie Ecclestone's Formula One Management, and members of the Government's Department of Trade and Industry, and the East Midlands Development Agency met yesterday to discuss the future of the Silverstone circuit.

During the meeting a deal was put forward to the BRDC, but this was rejected by the organization.

A statement put out by FOM said, "A proposal was put forward to secure the British Grand Prix until the end of 2015. The proposal did not involve the BRDC raising money or taking any financial risk. Unfortunately no progress was made with the BRDC representatives."
