Davidson and Minardi

The Guardian newspaper is saying that Anthony Davidson will replace Alex Yoong at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Our sources say that this will probably happen but that nothing will be confimed before midday when Davidson must come up with the necessary finance to land the deal. If he cannot find the backing needed, the drive could still go to Italian Giorgio Pantano, although he too must find the necessary money.

It is anticipated that Yoong will now be rested for two events, while being given the chance to do a series of intensive tests, concentrated on improving his qualifying performance.

An announcement is expected later today.
