Stoddart's celebrity race idea
Paul Stoddart has a fleet of two-seater Formula 1 cars which he has not been using in the last year and he has proposed to the other Formula 1 team bosses that these be used next year for celebrity two-seater races on Sunday mornings at each Grand Prix.
Tickets sales are down at Silverstone
Many of the Grands Prix this year have had smaller crowds than in previous years and Silverstone is no exception. The organisers of the event are hoping for a last-minute surge in sales to push up the numbers as it is understood that at the moment only 70,000 tickets have been sold.

Political battles at Magny Cours
The Formula 1 team owners were in discussion again at the weekend in Magny Cours over the so-called Formula 1 "fighting fund". Paul Stoddart refuses to be beaten and while some of the other team bosses say that Stoddart has no right to any money because the deal was conditional on the rules remaining the same.
Are there team buyers out there?
There were suggestions in Magny Cours that there are at least two serious buyers for Formula 1 teams on the market at the moment.
Heidfeld and Jaguar
Nick Heidfeld is tipped to be going to be recruited next year by Jaguar Racing to replace Antonio Pizzonia. Heidfeld is coming to the end of his contract with Sauber and is looking to see what else is available.

Team bosses gather as storm clouds grow
The Formula 1 team bosses will meet tomorrow morning at Magny-Cours to try to come up with a solution to the problem of the "fighting fund" with Minardi team boss Paul Stoddart saying that he is going to run cars without any driver aids at Silverstone.
Abramovich and Formula 1
Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, who is buying Chelsea Football Club in a deal worth $200m, was a guest at the recent European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.

Bernie talks Argentina
Bernie Ecclestone was in Milan yesterday for a meeting with Argentina's vice-president Daniel Scioli about the possibility of a new race in Buenos Aires. The biggest problem for Argentina remains one of finance as the country has undergone serious instability in recent years.

Wilson disqualified?
After the Minardi 1-2 in first qualifying for the French Grand Prix, there was further excitement after it was found that Justin Wilson's car was two kilograms underweight. The news has yet to be officially confirmed but if the weight is confirmed Wilson will drop to the back of the field.
