Fred Wacker

Founder of the Chicago region of the Sports Car Club of America - of which he was President in 1951 - this enthusiastic amateur driver was the manufacturer of car service tools and liquid metering equipment, based in Lake Forest, Illinois. He drove a Gordini Formula 1 car for several races in 1953/54, finishing sixth in the '54 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
