Carlos Menditeguy

Menditeguy was a talented all-round sportsman who was judged to be amongst the world's top six polo players when he came to Europe on the back of the Fangio/Gonzalez bandwagon of the early 1950s. Wild and fearless behind the wheel, he was also brutally hard on the machinery. He was an Argentine Grand Prix regular but never spent a full season on the Championship trail. His best result was third in the 1957 Buenos Aires race.
