Drove a Scuderia Centro Sud BRM on his sole World Championship outing in the 1965 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Bassi was also a regular on the national Formula 3 scene and took a class win in the 1965 Targa Florio with a 1-liter ASA prototype.
