GERMAN GP - FRIDAY - PRACTICE SESSION 2 REPORT
Poland invades Germany
Robert Kubica showed Michael Schumacher the way on Friday afternoon at Hockenheim, lapping the German track two-tenths of a second faster in his BMW than Schumacher could go in his Ferrari. Holland's Robert Doornbos was third fastest with an almost identical time to Schumacher's best, while Kimi Raikkonen was fourth fastest in his McLaren-Mercedes, suggesting that this weekend McLaren may be the closest challenger to Ferrari. Felipe Massa was fifth fastest ahead of Honda's Anthony Davidson, Mark Webber in his Williams, Pedro de la Rosa in the second McLaren and the Hondas of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button.
Giancarlo Fisichella was 11th fastest for Renault with Fernando Alonso only 15th.
