CANADIAN GP - FRIDAY - PRACTICE SESSION 1 REPORT
Kubica leads the way
BMW Sauber test driver Robert Kubica led the way on Friday morning in Montreal with a time that was 1.9secs faster than the nearest challenger, on this occasion the Honda of Anthony Davidson. Alex Wurz was third fastest in his Williams, with Michael Schumacher fourth fastest of the session. It was a very quiet session with four drivers not going out and a further eight doing just a shakedown lap. The session took place in cool and windy conditions and with the track rather dirty so there is probably not much to be learned.
The session ended with Tiago Monteiro getting it wrong at the final corner and crashing into the wall opposite the pits.
