FRENCH GP - FRIDAY - PRACTICE SESSION 1 REPORT

De la Rosa tops the bill

Pedro de la Rosa set the fastest time of the first session at Magny-Cours on Friday half a second faster than the Renault of Fernando Alonso and his team mate Giancarlo Fisichella. Takuma Sato was fourth fastest for BAR-Honda ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button. They were followed by Toyota test driver for the weekend Olivier Panis, Juan Pablo Montoya in his McLaren, Ralf Schumacher, Nick Heidfeld and Michael Schumacher.

In other words it was pretty much business as usual.
