World Council tweaks 2013 calendar
The FIA World Motor Sports Council approved a provisional 2013 F1 calendar at Friday's meeting, with some minor changes to the draft calendar that was made public over the weekend of the Singapore GP. The German GP has been moved forward a week to a July 14 date and Belgium also comes forward a week, to August 25, shortening the record five-week summer break that we saw in 2012 by one week. Later on in the year, the Korean and Japanese dates are switched, with Korea to run first, on October 6, with Suzuka a week later. The full calendar is now as follows, subject to final approval in December: March 17 Australia March 24 Malaysia April 14 China April 21 Bahrain May 12 Spain May 26 Monaco June 09 Canada June 16 New Jersey June 30 Silverstone July 14 Germany July 28 Hungary August 25 Belgium September 8 Italy September 22 Singapore October 6 South Korea October 13 Japan October 27 India November 03 Abu Dhabi November 17 Austin November 24 Brazil
