Mallya denies sale plans

Force India Chairman Vijay Mallya has denied reports originating from Asia that he is planning to sell his interests in the team.

Stories suggested that Mallya, who is closing down his low cost airline business, apparently to concentrate on the premium sector of the industry, was in talks with Subrata Roy's Sahara Group.

A statement from Mallya, however, read: "There is no question of my getting out of Force India. I have even more reason to improve team performance when India comes on the Formula One map."

The inaugural Indian GP is scheduled to take place on October 30.
