HRT drafts in Klien again

Christian Klien gets another chance to race the HRT in this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, partnering Bruno Senna.

Klien also replaced Sakon Yamamoto in the Singapore Grand Prix after the team said that the Japanese driver was suffering from a bout of food poisoning.

F1's new teams are all aiming at finishing 10th in the constructors' championship behind ninth-placed Toro Rosso, which has 11 points. None of the new teams have scored this year but 10th place is potentially valuable in financial terms.

During a 'normal' race it is almost impossible for the new teams to penetrate deep enough into the midfield to score points, and currently the best placing by any one of them is 12th place from Lotus Racing's Heikki Kovalainen in Japan. With rain always a potential threat at Interlagos however, there is another chance of a race of attrition and an opportunity. With Lotus having scored three 13th places in addition to the one 12th, however, overhauling them is going to mean an 11th place for either Virgin Racing or HRT, most likely in Brazil as the chances of rain in Abu Dhabi are remote.
