Priaulx to drive BMW Sauber F1 at Brands Hatch

Triple FIA World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx is to demonstrate a BMW Sauber F1 car at Brands Hatch on July 26-27 when the WTCC comes to Britain. Priaulx, who did occasional F1 tests with Williams-BMW in 2005 and 2006, will be racing as usual with Bart Mampaey's team from Mechelen in Belgium, which is competing this year as BMW Team UK. Priaulx is currently fourth in the championship but with seven of the 12 races remaining still has time to close the gap on Gabriele Tarquini.

"This is an amazing time for the BMW Sauber F1 Team and to have the chance to show the fans an F1 car at Brands Hatch is a real treat for me and them," Priaulx says. "The noise will be phenomenal and it promises to be a real spectacle."
