Burgess pops up in Australia
Former Midland F1 sporting director Adrian Burgess has moved to Australia where he has been signed up to run Dick Johnson Racing in the Australian V8 Supercar series.
Burgess ran the MF1 team at the start of this season having moved into the role after Trevor Carlin decided last year that it was a hopeless task. Burgess had previously worked with Carlin in Formula 3 and the Renault World Series.
The Queensland-based DJR operation runs Will Davison and Steven Johnson (son of team boss Dick) with backing from Johnson's own V8 Home Loans and the FirstRock Mortgage companies.
