Wirdheim heading Stateside?

Jaguar Racing test driver Bjorn Wirdheim seems to have given up on his immediate ambitions in Formula 1 and is rumoured to be on his way to Champ Car racing next year with Kevin Kalkhoven's PKV Racing. It is being suggested that the team will have a new general manager in Jim McGee, who has been running Pat Patrick's operations in the Indy Racing League in recent years. The team is currently running part-owner Jimmy Vasser and Mexican Roberto Gonzalez but the Nextel-sponsored driver is rumoured to be moving on. Wirdheim is scheduled to test for the team on November 14-15. Wirdheim tested for Patrick Racing at the end of 2003 but the team then lost its Visteon sponsorship and has since moved to IRL.
