Lyons stays in Japan

Richard Lyons, who was mentioned as a possible driver with the Jordan team this year, has decided to stay in Japan and has re-signed for Kiyoshi Muraoka's DoCoMo Dandelion Formula Nippon team. He will be working with highly-experienced Formula 3000 engineer Rob Arnott and hopes to make a big impression this year.

Lyons has also been picked by Nismo, the works Nissan team in the Japanese GT Championship and will race in all rounds of that series as well.

The 23-year-old from County Down in Northern Ireland has raced in Japan for the last two seasons after making his name in Britain in Formula Vauxhall and Formula Palmer Audi.
