Drivers at Jordan

There is no secret in the fact that Jordan sponsor DHL, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post, was keen to have a German driver in Formula 1 next year. The company showed itself to be very keen on Heinz Harald Frentzen but that deal never happened.

Despite this the Jordan-Ford-DHL package seems to be going ahead. Eddie Jordan has said that he has Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato under contract for 2003 but in recent days there have been stories circulating that there might be an attempt going on to swap Fisichella for Nick Heidfeld of Sauber.

Jordan has dismissed these stories as "nonsense".
