Renault dominant in Nogaro F3
THE Sodemo-developed Renault Formula 3 engine was dominant last weekend in the opening round of the French Formula 3 series at Nogaro, in the Armagnac region of south-west France. The two-race meeting was dominated by Renaud Derlot of the ARTA Signature Team (which is supported by former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki's driver promotion scheme and includes Yuji Ide). He was chased home in the first race by Tristan Gommendy in an ASM-Elf Dallara-Renault and in the second was shadowed to the line by a third Dallara-Renault being driven by Promatecme's Simon Abadie.
The first Mugen Honda was fourth in the hands of British refugee Derek Hayes, driving for Laurent Daumet's LD Autosport.
