New F1 barriers to be revealed today
TYSON DECELERATION RESEARCH will unveil its latest fully FIA-approved Formula 1 crash barrier system later today at a press conference in Melbourne. The latest impact-absorbing barriers are claimed to be 10 times more effective than existing tire barriers and have been developed by engineer Simon Tyson's Tyson Deceleration Research Pty Ltd in Queensland thanks to a $40,000 grant from Queensland's Department of Innovation and Information Economy, which is funding schemes which foster the successful commercialization of research, new ideas and encourage the development of new technologies.
