McLaren, Jaguar continue development in Valencia

MCLAREN and Jaguar returned to Valencia Wednesday for day two of the three day test. Both teams fielded two drivers and two 2002-spec cars.

Finn Kimi Raikkonen completed the fewest number of laps, 53, but posted the fastest time on the day, nearly half a second faster than test driver Alexander Wurz; both drivers were in MP4/17 chassis.

Pedro De la Rosa and Eddie Irvine both worked in Jaguar R3s with new floors and redesigned rear suspension.

Both teams are expected to return to Valencia on Thursday.
