Tyrrell memorial service this week
A memorial service for the late Ken Tyrrell will take place on Thursday at Guildford Cathedral in Surrey.
The service has been arranged by Tyrrell's most famous (and most successful) driver Sir Jackie Stewart, who succeeded Tyrrell to the role of BRDC chairman. It was driving for Tyrrell that Stewart won all three of his World Championships in 1969, 1971 and 1973.
Tyrrell died of cancer in August at the age of 77.
The Tyrrell team was an active player in Formula 1 for 30 years, entering F1 in 1968 and remaining a player until 1998 when the Tyrrell Family sold the team to British American Racing.
