F3000 stars shine at Mugello
TWO F3000 Champions tested for F1 teams at Mugello on Thursday. European Champion Felipe Massa tested for Sauber for the second day in a row, and International Champion Justin Wilson was behind the wheel for Jordan.
Massa was quickest for the second day in a row, outpacing Jordan veteran Jean Alesi by nearly half a second in wet conditions. The twenty year-old Brazilian is on the top of a short list of candidates to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Sauber in 2002.
Wilson seems to be fighting for a testing position at Jordan, as it looks like the second seat on the team will go to Takuma Sato.
BAR tested at Mugello on Thursday as well, with regular test drivers Anthony Davidson and Darren Manning.
