Honda target wins with Jordan and BAR next season

HONDA chief Takeo Fukui has set his sights on a Grand Prix win in the 2001 season as his company provides engines for the Jordan and British American Racing teams.

Fukui believes that in the next two years Honda can dominate Formula One podiums with four drivers at the helm of their power-units.

"We want to win one race at least," said Fukui. "Now that we have four drivers, I should hope we win one. Maybe the year after that we can sweep the podium."

Jordan have kept their drivers from 2000 with Jarno Trulli and Heinz-Harald Frentzen set to drive with Honda 'works' engines for the first time in competition next season.

BAR have had Honda 'works' engines for the last two seasons, but have changed their driver line-up with Olivier Panis replacing Ricardo Zonta to team-up with Jacques Villeneuve.
