Berger hails Button as 'the best of his age'

BMW MOTORSPORT director Gerhard Berger has branded Briton Jenson Button 'the best driver of his age' he has ever seen.

Berger, the second most experienced driver in the history of Formula One with 210 Grands Prix to his name, heaped praise on the youngster after another dazzling display in the Belgian Grand Prix.

The 20-year-old qualified in third place before finishing fifth - emulating his best performance of the season - and Berger hit him with more accolades.

"All the time, he gets better and better," Berger said. "I have seen and driven with a lot of drivers and he is the best, I think, of that age that I have seen. For his age, he is exceptional."
