Burti desperate to impress in Thursday test at Silverstone
JAGUAR test driver Luciano Burti is desperate to make a good impression in his second day of testing at Silverstone on Thursday as he bids to earn a drive with the Milton-Keynes based team.
Burti, who deputized for an unwell Eddie Irvine at the Austrian Grand Prix this season, is hoping that another good performance on Thursday will increase his chances of replacing Champ Car-bound Johnny Herbert next year.
Burti tested the car on Tuesday and overcame rear suspension problems to post the fourth fastest time of the day.
"Thursday is going to be very important for me," said Burti. "If only because this is the time of year when people are making decisions and I'll be running alongside Eddie so I can show what I can do."
