Ferrari has announced that current Sauber driver Charles Leclerc will join Sebastian Vettel to drive for the team next season.

Leclerc will be the first product of the Ferrari Driver Academy to be promoted to the race team. Leclerc won back-to-back titles in GP3 and Formula Two, before joining Sauber this season, scoring 13 points so far with a career best result of sixth in Azerbaijan.

Long-time Ferrari driver and 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen will leave the team, and has signed a two-year contract to rejoin Sauber, the team he started his formula one career with in 2001.
